Start with a little breathing room
A morning can feel full before it has properly begun. Music offers a small way to mark the transition from sleep to the day ahead. There is no need for a perfect routine, just a few minutes that feel yours.
Choose a track you want to wake up to. Let it accompany the small things: opening the curtains, making a drink, finding the book you left on the table.
Build a playlist around a feeling
A morning playlist can be a collection of familiar favourites, an album played in order, or a handful of songs you have been meaning to revisit. Give it a feeling rather than a rule.
Keep a few different playlists for different mornings. A gentle start, a brighter mood, a little energy for getting out the door. Let the music meet you where you are.
Take the moment with you
Even when the day picks up speed, a song can leave something behind. A chorus to hum, a memory to return to, or simply the feeling that the morning began on your own terms.
Small rituals are allowed to stay small. One track is enough. Tomorrow can have a different soundtrack.
